Ashfaq Ahmed was a celebrated Pakistani writer, playwright, broadcaster, and spiritualist. Known for his distinctive style blending Sufism, humor, and social commentary, he authored numerous short stories, novels, and plays. He hosted the popular radio program ‘Talqeen Shah’ and the long-running PTV series ‘Zavia,’ which explored complex spiritual and philosophical themes. He is considered one of the pioneers of modern Urdu short story writing.
